Raychel Harvey Jones | Apple wants movies on iTunes earlier

SAN FRANCISCO — Apple wants a happy ending to its continuing pursuit of Hollywood studios for early access to movies on iTunes.

The Silicon Valley company is beseeching Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and 21st Century Fox, all of whom intend to make new movies available for home-video rental as soon as two weeks after they open in theaters, to use iTunes, according to a Bloomberg. The report cited unnamed people familiar with the talks.
